So, I have a character here who comes from a world with technology that's actually somewhat more advanced that Midgard's in certain ways, including computer/communications technology, and is canonly absolutely brilliant with technology and capable of some really amazing things, including reverse engineering.

This being the case, he's looking at the solid screens in the communicators and shaking his head. So, my question is, would it be possible for him to upgrade some to use hard light holograms instead?
